This classroom-based course is aimed at individuals who prefer learning in an interactive environment, led by an experienced business continuity professional. The beginner benefits from a solid description of the methodologies that enable an organization to develop; implement and maintain an effective Business Continuity Management (BCM) program, whilst the experienced professional gains an in-depth look at the Good Practice Guidelines (GPG). This course is excellent preparation for the BCI Certificate Examination that leads to the post-nominal designation CBCI, a recognized industry credential and the launching pad for Statutory membership of the BCI. It is also the perfect choice for business continuity professionals already working in the field who are looking to complement their experience thorough some formal training on business continuity (BC). The course provides an in-depth study of the Business Continuity Management (BCM) Lifecycle. The subject matter addresses the six BCI Professional Practices as defined in the GPG, including Technical and Management Practices, taking the candidate through each stage of the BCM Lifecycle step by step. Using case studies and examples based on real-life experience, the instructor provides practical insights into all aspects pertaining to the development, implementation and management of a BC program within an organization.

You will have the opportunity to take part in a facilitated practical session to carry out a BIA using a case study with example questionnaires and templates to take away. THURSDAY AND FRIDAY, APRIL 18-19, 2019
POS4 – CMC 2050: Crisis Communication Planner – ANSI Accredited (two-day course)
Thursday, April 18, 2019, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and, Friday, April 19, 2019, 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Understanding the elements of communicating during a crisis or incident is an essential planning component for every organization.  This course provides valuable information on how to protect an organization’s reputation, the role of the spokesperson(s), message development, how to write the communications plan, and includes a crisis communication plan template.

An organization in crisis faces many grave threats. Employees can be in physical danger. Buildings can fall. Customers can be lost.   But the most serious threat is and always will be the threat to the organization’s most important asset – its reputation.  To protect the organization from reputational threats requires careful, thoughtful, detailed planning and a methodology for inculcating  a culture of organizational crisis preparedness,

In this two-day ANSI Accredited ICOR Course, you will learn how to prepare the organization for inevitable threats to reputation, execute the crisis communications plan, then, when the crisis has passed, assess and do what must be done before the next threats occur.

Successfully complete the exam (included in the course fee) to earn the ANSI Accredited Crisis Communication Planner credential.

Audience: Those who work in public relations, communications, and those responsible for planning communications before, during, and after an incident.

Registration Fee: $1,495

Continuity Insights is not utilizing the services of this or any housing service for the Continuity Insights Management Conference.
