just wondered if you might have heard if there are any regulations for holiday accommodation... have just stayed somewhere in the Alps (Chalet Beaumont www.chaletb.com) where our toddlers room had no windows, and the only way out was through the narrow galley kitchen...so if the fire was in the kitchen she'd have been done for. There were no fire blankets or extinguishers, no smoke alarms, and no evacuation procedures. The chalet was wood panelled throughout - so high risk. The owner has since told me that it complies with all local laws!
