Hi Jacob,
Some companies split their operations into two facilities. by doing so each site can be a back up site for the other. A risk assesment would prove the losses in case of a dissaster and i am sure management then will understand the potential losses.

: : It's obvious that a hot site's primary purpose is disaster recovery. But can anyone think of other uses for hot sites, other than for disaster recovery.

: : It helps to know this when trying to get a hot site budget approved. Management doesn't want to hear that we are going to spend all this money on duplicating our datacenter to just have it "sitting there" until a disaster happens.
