Hello Steve,

I never waited on Sungard or any other vendor to make sure that my contract was up to par with my equipment. We are responsible to let know Sungard of the changes and to have then update the contract accordingly. It was the same with Comdisco before and it is the same with IBM.

For point 2, you probably have an old Comdisco contract, this was the way Comdisco used to work, we just signed a contract with Sungard and it does not renew automatically.

Have a nice day.

: I ran into a problem recently with SUNGARD and the way they do business. I was wondering if anyone else in the business community has run into a similar situation with SUNGARD.

: 1) A contract is signed for 5 yrs. They never contacted the company once to check in on business practices and equipment level.

: 2) Contract renewal.
: They put in a clause where the contract automatically renews for the original term, but do not contact you until the term has expired.

: It is frustrating to see a company operate in this manner.

: Thanks
: Steve
