My title at my place or business is Disaster Recovery Specialist. With that said, I believe you need to look closer at what was mentioned about redundant power of course, but this runs far deeper than that. There is never a guaranty that the power soluitions will work so you need to begin your process by doing some kind of risk analysis and determining the most critical aspects of your business. Those aspects need to have manual operating procedures in place in the event you do have another outage and a MARC (minimal acceptable resource configuration). Disaster recovery isnt about being redundant, it is about what you do after the disaster strikes. In essence, if you fail over to something redundant you havent experienced a disaster yet.
