UK Market-wide Exercise 2009 announced

The UK financial sector’s next Market-wide Exercise will take place on 17th and 25th November 2009, the Tripartite Authorities have announced.

This year’s exercise will explore the impact of a severe weather and flooding scenario and will include disruption to several key infrastructure providers.

According to the Tripartite Authorities the exercise “will explore the effects of geographical concentration; dependence on suppliers; practicality of remote working; reliance on telecommunications; use of recovery sites; cash distribution and the return to business as usual. This is in addition to the address of the relationship between the tripartite authorities and the sector during such an event.”

See Market-wide Exercise 2009 for details.
