SunGard Availability Services CEO Berg Resigns


SunGard announced that Eric Berg has resigned as chief executive officer of SunGard Availability Services, a position he held since October 2007.

The company has initiated an executive search and until a successor is identified, Cristóbal Conde, SunGard’s president and chief executive officer, will also act as interim chief executive officer of SunGard Availability Services.

Mr. Berg joined SunGard from NCR Corporation where he was chief administrative officer, responsible for the company’s strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, information technology, procurement and real estate functions.

Previously, Mr. Berg was chief information officer at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and a regional vice president of PepsiCo’s Frito-Lay division.
