Standards: Business Continuity Institute Seeking Participants for GPG 2010


After the recent revision of the 2008 version of the Business Continuity Institute’s (BCI) Good Practice Guidelines, it was proposed that a working party needed to be set up to re-launch a new version in 2010.

The first meeting of that working party occurred on February 16, 2009 with 15 members attending and another 9 members interested in assisting with this large project.   The aim of this meeting was to agree, in principal, on the vision of GP 2010, the structure and how to move it forward.   The meeting agreed that the core of the document would remain as it is currently but appendices would be added to cover specialist areas, e.g. Emergency Planning, Crisis Communication etc.
