 SWS 1: Birds of a Feather: Business Continuity Roundtable Discussions

Participate in dynamic dialogue with fellow conference attendees having similar backgrounds and expertise. Experienced business continuity professionals will lead roundtable discussions. Gain solutions while building relations and finding solutions. Moderator will be Randall Till, MBCI.

SWS 2: Business Continuity in a Box

This workshop is designed to take attendees through all of the steps and considerations needed to write their own business continuity and incident response plans. Whether a beginner or a seasoned pro, attendees will learn enough to make this class worth every minute. Instructors are Ron Lapedis and Laura Mosley.

 SWS 3: ColourSpectrums Stress Management and Conflict Resolution for Individuals and Teams

This dynamic presentation provides insights and humor while creating the magical language of ColourSpectrums that celebrate diverse personality strengths and challenges. Participants interact in a guided process of group discussions and activities that celebrate diverse personality strengths and challenges. Instructor is Rob Chubb.

 SWS 4: Moving Your BCM Program to a Management System

This presentation will introduce three standards adopted by DHS for PS-Prep in an easy to understand manner and provide what is needed to quickly evaluate a program’s management system readiness. Instructor is Lynnda Nelson.

 SWS 5: Incident Management Plan Assessment

Learn to use the incident management plan maturity model and the BCP audit checklist developed by PPBI. Discover how recognized industry standards can be used to measure the maturity of plans in both the public and private sector. The checklist will assess your capability to acquire the necessary resources for critical incident management. Instructors are Ken Schroeder, Deidrich Towne, Jr., and David Ziev.

 SWS 6: Mock Disaster Exercise: Utilizing ICS for Public and Private Security

Attendees can experience DRJ’s popular Mock Disaster Exercise. In this interactive session, participants work together to solve several scenarios using the Incident Command System (ICS). This mock exercise will focus on the challenges encountered by the very secret 18th U.S. Intelligence Community Agency. Find out about the primary mission and the challenges of this exercise!
