    Not Exactly a Résumé Highlight: Madoff Work


    Exactly one year ago, Bernard L. Madoff’s two sons turned him in for running the biggest Ponzi scheme ever. Now they are trying to move on. But that is a nightmare for most people with the word “Madoff” on their résumé.

    Out of work since federal agents arrested their father, Andrew and Mark Madoff have been wrestling with what to do next, according to people who have spoken with them or other Madoff family members.

    Andrew Madoff, son of Bernard Madoff, is considering starting a disaster recovery firm. Disaster being his area of expertise, one supposes.

Brill, founder and CTO of Upsite Technologies, a developer of energy-efficient, high-availability solutions designed to optimize a data center’s critical physical infrastructure, received the Outstanding Contribution to Industry tribute at the Datacentre Leaders’ Awards held by Datacenter Dynamics in London, England last December.

    TSA to Vet Watch List for Secure Flight Program


    The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) recently announced the issuance of the Secure Flight Final Rule, which shifts pre-departure watch list matching responsibilities from individual aircraft operators to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and carries out a key recommendation of the 9/11 Commission.  By bringing watch list matching responsibilities in-house, TSA can better remedy possible mis-identifications when a traveler’s name is similar to one found on a watch list.
