BCI Updates Business Continuity Competencies
Ten competencies or six for business continuity? Depending on whose materials you’re reading, either can be correct. The Business Continuity Institute recently published a new document which provides more detail on its six certification standards for professional practitioners.
Initially developed as the ‘ten key disciplines’ in a collaborative BCI and DRII effort, the six certification standards provide an outline of the competencies required by a professional practitioner in order to deliver effective business continuity management.
The document expands upon what is expected in each of the six areas, which map back to the original ten competencies.
