BC Management to Offer Custom BC/DR Program, Compensation Reporting
BC Management Inc. recently announced that it will begin offering customized reporting on Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery programs and compensation in 2009.
The reports can be customized specific to each client’s criteria, which may include industry, revenues, locations, employees and much more. This service will assist companies in benchmarking their BC/DR programs and compensation to their competitors. This in turn will assist BC/DR professionals in building business cases to elevate their company’s program.
Since 2001 BC Management has released an International Compensation Survey, which is used to gather data from BC/DR professionals worldwide. This survey was expanded in 2004 to include program benchmarking. The data collected is used to produce complimentary compensation and program benchmarking reports that are not specific to any industry, location, etc. The data is also leveraged to produce custom reports while maintaining the confidentiality of the survey respondents and their employers. The 2008 compensation and program surveys will be conducted during January and February.
BC Management has offered a similar custom reporting service in the past, but this new offering expands on the scope and complexity of the benchmarking. The company has partnered with a leader in survey and reporting technology to significantly enhance the sophistication of the analysis. This technology will also improve the data collection process through better surveys and internationalization. Previously the surveys were only available in English, but going forward they will be published in other languages starting with Spanish, Chinese and Japanese.
To guide BC Management’s research activities, an advisory board has been created. The International Benchmarking Advisory Board is comprised of BC/DR industry leaders from across the globe. Its primary charter is to ensure that BC Management continues to focus on the key industry trends. The board has already been assembled, and is playing a key role in preparation for the release of future surveys.
